Drawing Birds and Animals
In this class, students will explore how to identify and build shapes within birds and animals as they draw, using pencil and colored pencil to bring their figures to life.
Ages 9+
Artistic Nature Journal
In this class, students will learn how to paint a cover page, draw animals and birds in their habitats and bind it all together in a lovely nature book, with space to write observations.

Drawing Portraits
In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of facial proportions while developing their drawing skills in pencil.
Ages 12+
Chalkboard Drawing
In this class, we’ll explore the world of chalk through portraiture, landscapes, and recreations of master artworks.

Mixed Media Animals
In this class, students will play with color and explore different mediums as we paint different animals.
Ages +10
Wet-on-Wet Watercolor Paintings
In this Waldorf-inspired class, students explore color theory and watercolor techniques through a variety of beautiful, age-appropriate painting projects.
Ages 6+
Virtual Lessons
For virtual lessons, students need to supply their own materials. A materials list will be provided upon registration.

Youth Art Classes taught by me at the Hui
Island Creatures
Thursdays, 3 weeks
August 28-Sept 11 3:30 -5:30p
In this course, students will learn about some little creatures in the waters surrounding and on the island of Maui as we play with color and use a variety of materials to create engaging mixed media pieces. At the end of this course, students will have 4 completed pieces showcasing jellyfish, geckos and crabs.
1. 3D Jellyfish and a Jellyfish Watercolor painting

3. Collage Crab cardboard puppet
Ages 6+
Tiny Hands
Thursdays, 3 weeks
August 7 - August 21 10:00 - 11:30
This class requires each keiki to be accompanied by one adult parent or guardian.
Young artists explore and learn through creative play, process art, and engaging sensory experiences. Each session is designed to provide a variety of hands-on opportunities for developing creativity and fine motor skills. Keiki can freely interact with materials, exploring their interests and creating.
Art activities include drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpting, collage, and more.
